VoltBlock Infrastructure was founded in Northern California with a specific focus: commercial and industrial facilities paying some of the highest demand charges in the country, on PG&E's complex commercial rate schedules, with load profiles that standard solar contractors don't fully understand.
Demand Shield is the answer to that problem. Every component — battery energy storage (BESS), solar, and optional EMS — is sized and configured together, from your actual interval data, commissioned to confirmed results.

OUR APPROACH
Interval Data First
Every Demand Shield proposal starts with 12 months of your PG&E 15-minute interval data. We map every demand event before recommending a single kilowatt of BESS or solar.
Systems Designed Together
Battery energy storage (BESS) and solar are engineered as a single coordinated platform. The BMS dispatch logic is configured to your rate schedule before installation begins — not after the equipment is already on the roof.
Commissioned to Results
The system doesn't go live until demand reduction is confirmed through live testing. VoltBlock stays engaged through the first full billing cycle to verify the projected results are being achieved.
25 Year Partnership
Ongoing EMS monitoring, annual dispatch optimization, and lifetime system support. Your Demand Shield system should perform as well in year 15 as it did in year one.

Our team combines backgrounds in renewable energy sales and marketing, electrical engineering and PG&E interconnection management, and licensed commercial and industrial construction — brought together with one focus: reducing demand charges for cold storage and industrial facilities in Northern California.
